What is Green Forests Foundation's mission?

Our mission is to preserve 69,420 acres of forested lands across five continents. We achieve this through three main initiatives: our Tree Planting Program that delivers real trees to participants, our Tiny House Eco Resort that demonstrates sustainable tourism, and our Carbon Credit Programs that provide economic support for conservation efforts.

We believe in creating a sustainable model that combines environmental protection with community engagement and economic viability.

There are many ways to support our mission:

  • Plant Trees: Apply for our free tree distribution program
  • Volunteer: Join as a Tree Planting Coordinator, Eco-Tourism Ambassador, or Digital Outreach Volunteer

We maintain full transparency with annual reports and financial statements available upon request.

Where does Green Forests Foundation operate?

We operate across five continents with active projects in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Our headquarters are in the United States, but we work with local partners and communities worldwide to ensure our conservation efforts are culturally appropriate and sustainable.

Our Tiny House Eco Resorts are currently located in Costa Rica, Canada, and Australia, with a Nordic location coming in 2025.

How does Green Forests Foundation use donations?

We follow a transparent allocation model:

  • 75% - Direct conservation efforts (land preservation, tree planting, habitat protection)
  • 15% - Program development and community engagement
  • 10% - Administrative and operational costs

Every dollar donated directly supports our mission to preserve forests and combat climate change.

Tree Planting Program

How do I apply for free trees?

Visit our contact page and fill out the Tree Planting Program application form. You'll need to provide:

  • Your location and available planting space
  • Number of trees you can accommodate
  • Commitment to care for the trees

We'll review your application and match you with appropriate native species for your region. Trees are delivered during the optimal planting season for your area.

What types of trees do you provide?

We provide native species appropriate for each region:

  • North America: Oak, Maple, Pine varieties
  • South America: Mahogany, Brazil Nut, Cecropia
  • Europe: Beech, Birch, Scots Pine
  • Asia: Teak, Bamboo, Cherry Blossom
  • Africa: Baobab, Acacia, Marula

All trees are selected based on local climate, soil conditions, and ecosystem compatibility.

What makes the eco resort truly sustainable?

Our tiny houses feature:

  • 90% recycled and sustainable building materials
  • 100% renewable energy (solar and wind)
  • Rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling
  • Composting toilets and zero-waste practices
  • Organic gardens for farm-to-table dining

We maintain a carbon-negative footprint through surrounding forest preservation.

Carbon Credit Programs

How do carbon credits work?

Each carbon credit represents one metric ton of CO2 removed from the atmosphere through our forest conservation efforts. When you purchase credits:

  1. Your payment protects specific forest areas from deforestation
  2. These forests continue absorbing CO2 naturally
  3. Third-party auditors verify the carbon sequestration
  4. You receive certificates documenting your environmental impact

Are your carbon credits certified?

Yes, all our carbon credits are third-party verified and meet international standards including:

  • Additionality (impact wouldn't occur without the program)
  • Permanence (long-term forest protection contracts)
  • Transparency (public registry of all credits)
  • Co-benefits (biodiversity and community support)

We provide detailed impact reports showing exactly how your credits contribute to forest conservation.

What's the difference between individual and business packages?

Individual Package ($15/ton): Minimum 1 ton, includes personal certificate and annual report.

Business Package ($12/ton): Minimum 100 tons/year, includes branded certificates, quarterly reports, marketing materials, and dedicated account management.

Enterprise Package: Custom pricing for 1000+ tons/year with real-time reporting and executive briefings.
